Diversity and Inclusion Drive Success
Like most startups, gaining footing and credibility within our community has been one of our most important priorities; and since 2005, the AFI team set off on a mission of doing just that – the only way we knew how – by seeking to exceed the expectations of every client on every job. Period. Fortunately, we embarked on our journey at a time when inclusion and diversity was in demand, which was great for a minority company such as ours.
We Are All In This Together
As society continues to change, companies and organizations will continue to work with establishments that represent similar values related to social inclusion. But they also don’t want to work with establishments that use this concept as marketing tactic.
We don’t just believe in the concepts of diversity and inclusion, diversity and inclusion are built in to our company culture. Yeah, it’s that important.
Why It’s Important
When companies seek out opportunities to work with other like-minded organizations, great things can (and do) happen. For us, we were given the chance to succeed in a great community; we were given the opportunity to put a diverse group of hard-working, talented Toledoans to work. Furthermore, because our sole mission has always been to exceed our client’s expectations while employing a team that reflects the diverse makeup of our community, AFI began to secure some fantastic contracts that were previously viewed as out of reach. For the companies that contract with us, they were not only rewarded with exceptional workmanship, they effectively strengthened many of their local relationships by reinforcing many of their brand values.
Who You Contract With Is A Reflection Of Your Company
Whether you acknowledge it or not, the companies you partner with influence the opinions of your public, your employees and your stakeholders. In Northwest Ohio, we are proud of our locally owned and operated companies and when you keep jobs like flooring installation, interior and exterior painting, and tiling local, you not only help bolster the local economy and put local men and women to work, you are demonstrating your community pride and rallying support among the region’s leadership. You are reinforcing your own commitment to diversity and inclusion.
We are, indeed, all in this together. Want to learn more about AFI? Contact us today. We would love to talk to you about the great things our company is doing to lead the charge to make Northwest Ohio a great place to live, work and play for everybody.
